"If Republicans think something might be good for the president, they’re against it — whether or not it’s good for America."

Contact House Republican Leader John Boehner
House Republican Leader John Boehner says he has "yet to meet an American who wants the public option." (Which is pretty amazing since in polls a majority of HIS DISTRICT supports it). Write Rep. Boehner and tell him you support President Obama's health reform policies and the public option.

Capitalism: A Love Story
The new Michael Moore film, Capitalism: A Love Story is a must see. Whether you are a Republican or Democrat, Obamamaniac or Bushite, if you care at all about America (or people in general), you have to see this movie. It is profound, infuriating, and eye opening.
A message from Michael Moore on his website-
"...For those of you waiting till next week to see it, I can't say this strongly enough: Do not put off going to see "Capitalism: A Love Story." It is not just a movie. It is a referendum that is being closely watched by the CEOs of America. Let me tell you bluntly, the suits on Wall Street are closely watching to see how this movie does this weekend. So, too, are the members of Congress. If "Capitalism" has a huge opening, it will send shivers down their corporate spines, telling them loud and clear that the American people are mad as hell and are not into taking it any more. It will put all the bosses on notice that the vast Obama-voting majority has awoken from its silence and are out in full force.
But if the attendance is just "ok" or "so-so," then they will be relieved knowing that there is not a popular groundswell of opposition out there -- and then they can go about their business as usual. I'd like to send them a different message."

GOP Celebrates America's Defeat
Roland Martin introducing some common sense.
"...So, to all the critics happy about us losing the 2016 games, turn in your flag lapel pins and stop boasting of being so patriotic. When an American city loses, like New York did in the the last go-round, we all lose. And all you critics are on the same level as the America haters all across the world.
You should be shouted down for not backing your own country. The next time any of you bang out a press release about "Buy American" or "Support our troops," remember this moment when your cynical, callous and small-minded brains happily rejoiced when America lost the 2016 Olympic Games."

Democrats Suck
Sometimes I can almost connect with the Republican stereotype of trusting your talk show hosts first. Because legislators suck.
Thank you, Jon Stewart
Also, a good one from Stephen Colbert-
And this from the Huffington Post-
"An investigation conducted by the Sunlight Foundation and the Center for Responsive Politics found that networks of lobbyist bundlers are funneling money to key members of Congress, including self-appointed health care reform leader Sen. Max Baucus.
Baucus, chairman of the powerful Senate Finance Committee, collected contributions from 37 bundlers -- outside lobbyists who collect contributions from others and direct money to a particular candidate -- representing Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), and 36 others representing drugmaker Amgen, from January 2007 to July 2009.
All together, Baucus received extra donations from 11 major health and insurance firms through 10 or more outside lobbyists, according to the Sunlight Foundation."
